Advanced manufacturing (AM) is an important technology sector for Maryland and a catalyst for growth for other sectors of great importance to U.S. national interests. The U.S. Army has invested millions of dollars into AM equipment, personnel, and capabilities at the Product Development Facility at the Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground to ensure technological overmatch on the battlefield. This facility, with its state-of-the-art equipment in both additive and traditional manufacturing, and capability from 3D printing capabilities to traditional manufacturing techniques to virtual and augmented reality, is available for use by industry as businesses look to develop new products or prototypes through a unique partnership with the Regional Advanced Manufacturing Partnership of Maryland (RAMP MD).
RAMP MD is hosting a tour of this facility on Thursday, August 4, 2022, and you are invited. The tour will take place from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and registration is strictly required. Visitors must be US citizens and be pre-registered. Additional instructions will be emailed to you prior to the event.
